Our gratitude journal can help your clients become more positive. Make it easy for them to journal what they are most thankful for everyday.
Gratitude disposition has been scientifically linked to greater levels of self esteem, an indicator of well-being. Our Gratitude Journal Template provides an easy-to-use, printable resource that will help your clients express gratitude more often. With each journal entry, your clients will be one step closer to increased self esteem and well-being.
You can define gratitude as the quality of being appreciative and thankful. It can be useful to give clients examples of what gratitude looks like in action. We’ve listed an example below.
Scenario: A friend offered to help you move, but broke a lamp during the process.
|Gratitude Behavior||Expressing appreciation or thankfulness that your friend offered to help you move in the first place. If you had to move on your own, more of your items could have been broken.|
|Non-Gratitude Behavior||Feeling upset or angry, and focusing on the broken lamp with total disregard for your friend’s kind deed.|
Instructing clients to set aside five minutes during the day to reflect on what they are thankful for can result in an influx of positive emotions. Encourage clients to keep the journal handy and reference anytime they feel a lack of gratitude or low self-esteem.
